Why hello! Welcome back! Can I get a snack for you…let’s head into the kitchen! One thing you might notice in here is my bread box has gone missing. Well, it’s not really missing missing, but I did decide to upcyle it into a Bread Box Cord Organizer DIY, although it was a perfectly good breadbox. It did it’s job well. But I realized living here in Florida, we can’t leave bread out on the counter like in other climates…mold tends to grow pretty darn fast!
So instead I gave it a new job and a new purpose at life as a cord organizer! Now if you’ve ever met my hubby, he loves cords. He loves electronics. He loves technology. So this Bread Box Cord Organizer DIY is one of his favorite DIYs I’ve done so I just have to share with you too!
You might already have a bread box or you can order a plain one on Amazon. I really like the ones with the top that is attached but can slide or tilt open. But almost any will do!
First things first,
-Drill Holes in the back- wide enough to fit your cord ends!
-Then paint or decorate the box how you’d like!
-Reattach any hardware you had to take off or add decorative knobs!
-Then to keep the cords in even more order, I like to place a piece of pretty washi paper tape over each one so they don’t slide back through the holes.
-Then attach your electronics!
I’ve found that a bread box really can hold a lot of items…cameras, phones, tablets, rechargeable batteries, flashlights, etc.
Then you can place this next to your nightstand (make one for your hubby too) or at your command center! Be sure to show off what you made if you’re inspired by this! I would love for our community of Host’s to grow so let’s see what ideas you have too! Find me on Instagram and use #IamAhostOfThingsToo! And here’s another upcyle you’ll love, this portable Tic Tac Toe Board!
Here’s my HSN video of how easy and awesome this DIY Upcycle is!
