As we find ourselves staying home more and summer coming up, I have been trying to think of new, fun ways to keep our family engaged! I think we’re all stretching our brains to create a little magic and memories no matter where we live. So if you’re in an apartment or you have a small backyard, creating a DIY Glampfire is still possible and really simple to do!

Our lanai is petite and for now we don’t have plans to get a large fire pit. But my daughter is very into adventures so I wanted to create a campfire regardless.
What you need:
- A Large Fire Safe platform, like a bin, baking sheet or large metal platter like we’re using.
- Glass Bowl
- Sand
- Bio-base fire gel (check to make sure it’s food safe)
Place the bio-base fire gel in the bowl surrounded by sand. Then we gathered sticks and pinecones while out on our walks just to make it look like a real fire pit and placed those around the bowl on the platter.

Super simple, obviously and you can change it up how you want but hopefully this will “spark” some creativity for you and your family. (See what I did there?) lol.
So have fun and I’ll be over on Instagram if you want daily inspiration!
Cheers!
