Next to the laundry room in the garage is a quick project I made to help organize our brooms, rake, mop, painting poles and even our long level. When I ordered my craft room furniture, a couple of the drawer faces were damaged so I requested new ones and kept the old ones for projects. The idea came to me once I saw attachable metal strips with hooks that can be screwed onto any surface. I bought two and placed them side by side on the drawer face and it was that easy! I think it looks nicer than those plastic hook racks and I have twice as many slots to hang items!
Another little but very helpful change we made to this wall is we changed one of the light switches to a glow-in-the-dark one. It’s the primary light switch we use to turn on our main light in the garage so once it gets dark, we can always find it! I also left this pencil sharpener that came with the house! Kind of a fun, vintage touch. Each of these small details make life a little more organized and our home a little more user friendly!
