I’ve been on this yellow kick, if you can’t tell! I just think it’s a beautiful color and is often underused. And in wanting to create unique eggs this year, I thought how cute it would be to make Lemon Easter Eggs! Come join me!

Now, I prefer to bake my eggs instead of boiling them. I think it’s easier, they’re more consistent and they don’t crack from over cooking. Just set your oven to 325 and place the eggs in a muffin tin. Then cook for 20 minutes!

Once cooled, I dyed the eggs yellow…I did a couple rounds each to get a vibrant yellow. And while I was at a craft store, I found these leaf cake decorations which I thought would make a cute detail on each egg.
One thing to think about when wanting to be creative with your eggs is how food safe the items are that you’re decorating with. If you plan to eat the hard boiled eggs try to use only items that are edible. So I used frosting to attach the leaves to the eggs and I think they turned out so adorable!

And aren’t these little egg holders cute? I found those for $1 each at Target! Love a good win like that!
