This spring is the perfect time to do some spring cleaning, right? But after you’ve cleaned out your closets, kitchen and garage, you might find a few items that you can repurpose or upcycle like this Old Drawer Garden Planter DIY! It’s super cute, super easy and can place it indoors or out!
Plus Fairy Gardens are all the rage now, so this would sure make a very precious land for a fairy or too if you’re in to that! I think I’ll wait another summer or two before I introduce Saylor to them…because we tend to get carried away with things! 🙂 Better I hold off as long as possible! But if you decide to make one of these please share! I love to see all types of inspo! #IamAhostOfthingsToo on Instagram!
To get started, a few things you’ll need are
-An Old Drawer
-Plastic Lining
-Drill to make a few holes
-Rock to fill the bottom for drainage
-Top Soil
-Plants/Herbs/Flowers
-Old Tea Cups, Saucers, Cute Dishes!
-Marker
So create a nice plant bed by placing the plastic lining on the bottom, feel free to puncture it with a few holes as well as your drawer unless you’re using succulents…then no need. Then add rock, soil, and your tea cups filled with plants!
Using different items sure makes it look adorable. Then you can write a message like Happy Birthday, Get Well Soon or Welcome on the saucer and dig it into the soil! Then you can give this to a friend…makes a nice home warming gift or keep it for yourself because it’s just so cute!
