Iconic pink yard flamingos are perfectly whimsical and fun on their own. And it’s hard to think of any other home decor item that represents Summer better than these cute duos. But the upcycler in me always loves a challenge and thought I’d attempt to revamp my lawn flamingos into Patriotic Flamingos for July!
This is one of those inexpensive projects that you can’t mess up. A few flowers from your local dollar shop, a can of spray paint and the lawn flamingos of your choice as there are a few different styles.
Here’s what I did and you’ll notice how simple each step is. It’s definitely a project that can be done in just a couple hours…as soon as the paint dries!
So have fun! Enjoy! And get your family involved!
And voila! I recommend placing these inside or under a covered porch area. But I think they’re a really cute spin on ordinary topiaries too.
The great thing is you can put them anywhere. Use the included metal stick to place your Patriotic Flamingos in the yard for a short period of time, in planter pots or take the stakes out and place on vessels of your choice like I did. I used large candle holders and plopped the birds on top… kinda looks like nests haha.
Anyway, hopefully this post brought a smile to your face. Just trying to add some lifestyle entertainment to bring some simple joy to you.
And if you liked these, you might like the original ones I did for my daughter’s First Birthday!
