Alright…you must be craving another cute DIY and I have just the one for you! This is my Placemat Tic Tac Toe DIY I made for HSN’s At Home show! What’s fun about it, is you can use almost any cloth placemat you can find, in any colors you prefer. Plus you are able to use your sewing machine in a fun way or if you don’t have one, you can use glue (but really, you should get a sewing machine ;).
So let’s get started!
What you need
-Ribbon (two long and two short…measure based off your place mat)
-10 Flat Marbles
-10 Stickers (five of each)
-Pins, Thread, etc.
So first things first, start by making a hashtag # symbol on your placemat using your ribbon. Then pin them in place. Then sew down each ribbon so they stay in place. Feel free to use any stitch you’d like- decorative ones are fun too!
When you’re done, you can assemble your rocks. Place the stickers on each one.
And that’s it, really! Very simple…a great project for a beginner sewer or even something to do with the kids over their school breaks. I like that I can roll the placemat up with the rocks in it and take with us on a picnic or outside on the patio. Makes a nice gift too…gosh so many reasons to make this DIY.
And please show me how yours turns out! Find me on Instagram and use hashtag #IamAhostofThingsToo !
Thanks for stopping by, I appreciate it!
